This elegant cool climate Cabernet Merlot was made from 80% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and 20% Merlot grapes grown on the warm north facing slopes of the Coal Valley Vineyard in South East Tasmania. The fruit was open vat fermented then matured in a mix of mainly French and some American oak barrels for 15 months.
Blackcurrant, mulberry and hints of black olives. Chewy tannins and a long finish. Will cellar well for ten years.Enjoy with marinated olives, slow cooked Tasmanian lamb or a beef burger
