The Coal Valley Vineyard Chardonnay grapes grow in the “Old Block”, planted in 1991, that produces the best tasting fruit in the vineyard.
The hand picked grapes are batch fermented using two different yeast cultures to produce a complexity of flavours. After ferment, the wine spends 8 months in French oak barrels before bottling.
The 2015 Chardonnay is a light straw colour; a clear and elegant wine. It has stone fruit and citrus aromas with hints of toasty oak. The palate is crisp and silky smooth.
Enjoy with a nice piece of pan fried Tasmanian Blue Eye or roast chicken.
