
This wine is made exclusively from grapes grown at the top of the East Block at Coal Valley Vineyard, which is relatively warmer and drier but benefits from cooling breezes off the Coal River Estuary. This is an extremely small batch wine, made using open vat fermentation, plunging by hand and basket pressing. A crimson colour with a cherry liquorice nose and threads of complexity lasting on the palate. Maturation for 10 months in French oak, 30% new. Alc/Vol 13.5%
