One of our favourite Hobart restaurants is now serving our Old Block Pinot Noir. The Old Block at Coal Valley is the original site, planted in 1991 and consistently produces our best grapes. This wine was hand crafted with traditional methods of open vat fermentation, some wild fermentation, basket pressing and then maturing in French Oak barrels for 15 months. This is the most expressive wine of the vineyard. The palate is rich and generous with dark cherry and sweet red berry fruit flavours.
